Universal Robots Beginner and Operator Training: Basics, Content and Objectives

If you have not yet had contact with the collaborative robots (cobots) from Universal Robots (UR), but find the topic exciting, our Universal Robots beginner and operator training offers you the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of robotics.

In this practice-oriented course, we will teach you the basic knowledge you need to effectively operate, program, and use UR robots in various fields.

The training covers all the essential aspects you need to become familiar with UR technology. The content is designed to be both theoretical and practical, so you develop a solid understanding from the start.

Introduction to Polyscope Software:
You will receive a detailed introduction to the user-friendly Polyscope software, used to program Universal Robots robots. The software allows you to control robots quickly and easily without requiring in-depth programming knowledge.

Introduction to Teach-in:
In Teach-in mode, you will learn how to intuitively guide the robot through simple movement programs. This is a fundamental technique that allows you to program the robot to precisely repeat your movements.

Practical component: Programming and welding.
An important part of the training is the practical component, in which you program the UR robot and use it for specific applications such as welding. Prior knowledge of welding technology is helpful here, as you can deepen this knowledge directly through practical application.

Upon completion of the course, you will have the basic skills to operate a UR robot safely and efficiently:

Switching the system on and off:
You will learn how to safely put the robot system into operation.

Robot programming:
You are able to create simple motion programs and configure the robot for different tasks.

Creating motion programs:
You will be able to program simple motion sequences that will use the UR robot efficiently and precisely in its function as a cobot.

Welding of components:
With basic welding knowledge, you can use the robot in welding applications and optimally adapt the programming to your specific needs.

The training lasts a total of one day , giving you ample time to learn the theoretical basics and practice in a hands-on manner. To ensure individual attention, the number of participants is limited to a maximum of five . This guarantees practical training and close support.
